This course provides a brief survey of what tornadoes are and why they present a danger to people who live in tornado-prone areas. Brief examples of devastating tornadoes from history illustrate the damage tornadoes can cause. Students also learn how to prepare for a tornado and what to expect when a tornado occurs.
Agate Development converted the original form of this course, an interactive PowerPoint deck, into a course in Articulate Rise; the converted course demonstrates Agate Development's ability to transform content using Rise. Rise's responsive design allows the content to reach more users—including cellphone and tablet users—than the PowerPoint format does. Converting a PowerPoint course into Rise also allows instructors the ability to report scores and record completion to an LMS. Finally, Rise offers an increased level of interactivity that allows students to connect with the content more fully.
